SAN ANTONIO – A man has been arrested on allegations that he sexually assaulted a young girl over the course of a year, authorities said.

Silas Wirth, 38, is charged with continuous sexual assault of a young child.
Detectives said the girl told her mother that Wirth had forced her to have sex with him three to four times over the last year. The most recent assault happened in April.
The young girl told detectives that it started when Wirth showed her pornography on his cellphone.
At first, Wirth denied the accusations against him, but he later admitted to detectives that he committed the offenses and had a problem.
