Two hospitalized after driver crashes, splits another vehicle, pole in half

Crash happened on Enrique M Barrera Parkway

SAN ANTONIO – Two drivers were sent to the hospital after one of them allegedly caused a crash on the city's West Side overnight. 

According to San Antonio police, the driver of a white SUV was speeding on Enrique M Barrera Parkway when he crashed into another vehicle, splitting it in half. The driver then crashed into a utility pole and it also split into two pieces, police said. 

Both drivers were taken to University Hospital.

Police said charges against the driver of the white SUV are expected.
