Reward increased for information in 2016 murder case

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers are offering an increased reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in connection with the death of a 19-year-old man in 2016.

Jacob Perales (seen above) was killed on Aug. 31, 2016 in the 3600 block of Piedmont Avenue.

Police said when they arrived they found Jacob's family attempting to help him. Officials said a small amount of marijuana was found near him.

An autopsy showed Perales suffered fatal injuries to his head, police said. Since that time they've interviewed several people but no leads have developed.
