SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan plans to return to the team for another year.
According to a Tweet from San Antonio Express-News reporter Mike Monroe, Duncan said: "Finally had a chance to talk with Pop. I'll be on the court next year."

Duncan made the decision while the Spurs wait to see if free-agent forward LaMarcus Aldridge decides to join the Spurs.
In another development Thursday involving the Spurs, center Aron Baynes plans to sign with the Detroit Pistons.
