Scholar Athlete: Sarah Lafuente, Holy Cross

SAN ANTONIO – What are you most excited about for your senior year and why?
I most excited for softball season, because it will be my last year, and last year we made it to the Final Four and I hope that we will return.

What drives you to be successful in the classroom and in your particular sport?
I was taught that everything you do, should be done to the best of your ability.  

How do you balance homework, participation in sports and spending time with family and friends?
I always get my school work done first, and everything else comes second.

How do you want to be remembered at school once you graduate?
I want to be remembered as someone who worked hard not only for myself but also for my teammates.

Where do you want to attend college, major in and why?
I want to attend Texas A&M University and major in genetics because I hope to be a successful woman in the field of science. 

If you could have one super hero power, what would it be and why?
I would like to be super fast so that I could go to different parts of the world whenever I wanted to. 

If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why?
I would take Kawhi Leonard to my senior prom, because he is a great basketball player who works really hard, but is humble.
