SAN ANTONIO โ CPS Energy CEO Paula Gold-Williams says the electric utility will use โevery tool in our toolboxโ to get the cost of last weekโs power crisis down. Still, she stopped short on Tuesday of promising that customers would not eventually shoulder that cost. The CPS CEO said that was the utilityโs goal, but did not directly commit to the cost reaching customers in some capacity. But for whatever bill we had, what we would do is smooth out the cost,โ Gold-Williams said. Fuel costs are typically passed down to CPS customers through the โfuel adjustmentโ charge on their bills.
Bexar County Commissioners approve nearly $12,000 for grand juries supplemental pay
SAN ANTONIO In a unanimous vote Thursday, Bexar County Commissioners agreed to pay $11,969 to the members of two grand juries that amounts to an additional $65 dollars per week for each juror. Though some have called it hazard pay, commissioners have now labeled it as supplemental pay.' The juries, who had been serving when the pandemic hit and a moratorium was ordered on jury service in mid-March, agreed to serve an additional two-month term. I think it was justified in the sense that these people went above and beyond, Precinct 2 Commissioner Justin Rodriguez said as he discussed the supplemental pay. Bexar County appoints first female Chief Medical Examiner
SAN ANTONIO On Tuesday, Bexar County Commissioners appointed Dr. D. Kimberley Molina to fill the position of Chief Bexar County Medical Examiner. She is taking over the job following this months retirement by Dr. Randall Frost. I do not believe you could find a more competent, honest, impartial and dedicated person for this position, Frost told commissioners. The last four years she served as Deputy Chief Medical Examiner.
