San Antonio police get tip, arrest Belen Campos in PC Outlet burglary

SAPD: Belen Campos showed her face on PC Outlet surveillance video

SAN ANTONIO – An anonymous tipster has told San Antonio police Belen Campos, 39, is the woman clearly seen in surveillance video burglarizing a PC Outlet store.

The video aired on TV stations throughout the city after that Sept. 23 burglary.

The video shows a truck pulling up to the front of the business, and then several people carrying out computers and other equipment from inside the store.

San Antonio police, however, were most interested in identifying a woman who clearly shows her face to the camera.

After the video aired, they received a tip telling them it was Campos, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Detectives set up surveillance outside her home and arrested Campos during a traffic stop, the affidavit stated.

During questioning, police said, Campos admitted to committing the PC Outlet burglary and several others.

The affidavit stated that police later searched Campos' home and located stolen property.

Campos faces a charge of burglary. Incidentally, a mug shot provided by the Bexar County jail was taken Sept. 16, showing that Campos was arrested in another case just a week before the PC Outlet burglary.
