A woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she crashed her truck into a South Side bridge late Monday night.
San Antonio police believe the woman was speeding and under the influence of drugs or alcohol when she crashed her truck in the 300 block of Moursund Boulevard around 10:15 p.m.
Police said she was driving southbound on Moursund when she struck the bridge, took out the guardrail and ripped a wheel off her truck.
The truck flipped and the driver had to be pulled out by passers-by. Paramedics responded and treated the driver, but she was expected to recover.
Police said she was arrested after showing several signs of being under the influence including slurred speech. Her name has not been released.
