Families trying to get their children enrolled in the city's Pre-K 4 SA lottery now have a few more days to apply.
The city has extended the deadline from June 6 to June 8.
The program, entering its second year, is also expanding from two locations to four to serve the east and west San Antonio communities during the 2014-15 school year.
The new schools are 5230 Eisenhauer Road and 1235 W. Old Highway 90.
"Because of an improved system for processing applications that is more efficient, we can allow families more time to apply for the opportunity to attend a high-quality pre-kindergarten class in the fall," said CEO Kathy Bruck. "We are offering an extra two days, which could make a world of difference for many families with 4-year-old children who are ready to learn."
Applications received by June 8 will be placed in a lottery with the drawing set for June 10.
