SAN ANTONIO – A 25-year-old man was arrested after crashing his vehicle downtown.
Just before 3 a.m. Saturday, a VIA transit officer noticed a car driving down East Quincy Street with no headlights on.
The driver turned onto Lexington Avenue went down a driveway and hit a fence before going down an embankment under a bridge.
The driver told police officers he thought he was getting onto Interstate-35.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
VIA is also pressing charges for evading arrest.
