SAN ANTONIO – A protective helmet was not enough to help a motorcycle rider avoid serious head injuries early Saturday morning.
Police say the man crashed his cycle into the back of a flat bed pickup around 4 a.m. at Interstate 10 and W.W. White Road.
They say that man then fell from his cycle, but the bike continued another 300 feet before coming to a stop.
The man's helmet fell off during the crash and he suffered head injuries.
EMS transported him to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.
