Cowboy Church kicks off second-to-last rodeo Sunday

SAN ANTONIO – On the second-to-last Sunday of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, the morning kicked off with cowboy church.

At least 400 people show up to the service every rodeo Sunday to pray and sing songs before most of the day's events kick off.

The room fills with cowboys, families, competitors, and fans alike. Some people, like Austin Brown, have been coming to the cowboy church services for years.

"We all believe in the same thing. We all think alike, we all love the Lord, and we all love cattle and horses," Brown said.

The morning also kicked off with livestock events, like a gelding ranch horse exposition.

It's one of many events that carried on throughout the day, along with live music entertainment.

Easton Corbin played at 1 p.m., and Banda Los Recoditos takes the main stage at 7:30 p.m.
