SAN ANTONIO – Authorities said five people were injured Sunday in a car crash on westbound SW 410 at Somerset Road.
An SUV was stalled on the roadside and a pickup truck hit it. The pickup truck then swerved into other traffic and was hit by an 18-wheeler carrying rolls of paper. The big rig flipped after hitting the pickup truck from behind.
One of the people injured is a child, according to officials. One person was airlifted to a hospital and the others, including the child, were transported by EMS.
The conditions of the victims has not been released.
The flipped big rig has forced police to close Loop 410 in both directions.
