LOS ANGELES – Firefighters rescued a man who fell into the gorilla enclosure Thursday morning at the Los Angeles Zoo.
The 61-year-old employee fell 20 feet into the enclosure.
A rope system was used to help him get out of the exhibit.
The employee, whose identity hasn’t been released, was put on a gurney and taken to an ambulance waiting nearby.
The gorillas were secured at the time of the fall.
The man’s condition is unknown.
