SAN ANTONIO – Frost Bank and the Frost family donated $500,000 to the Children's Hospital of San Antonio Thursday morning, in honor of National Nurses Week.
“Simply put, nurses take care of our children and families,” donor Pat Frost said. “We are proud to place our names behind the nurses of the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and want them to know that we appreciate them not only this week, but every single day.”

The donation will go to fund 22 nurses' stations throughout the hospital.
In conjunction with the monetary gift, Frost is sponsoring National Nurses Week activities.
“The quality of care demonstrated by the nurses throughout the Hospital is immeasurable and would not be the same without the tireless dedication from each associate,” said Elias Neujahr, president of the Children’s Hospital.
