The trial centered on the deaths of Georgina Rodriguez, 17, and Gabriella Lerma, 16, on Feb. 19, 2013.

Flores and the two girls were students at Brandeis High School. The girls were passengers in Flores’ car on their way to lunch when he crashed into a truck at the intersection of Hausman Road and the Loop 1604 access road.

Witnesses testified that Flores was speeding and racing with another car and driving recklessly at the time of the crash.

The punishment phase of the trial will begin Wednesday morning.
