The shooting was reported just after 6 a.m. in the 3100 block of East Commerce, found near Sprindale Boulevard.

Police said the man in his late teens or early 20s was on his skateboard heading east to a bus stop near Second Baptist Church when a shirtless man driving a white four-door vehicle pulled over and demanded the victim hand over his board and phone.
