SAN ANTONIO – A police officer fired a shot at a suspect in a late night robbery after the man first pulled a gun on the officer.
The shooting happened after the park police officer spotted a suspect in a robbery at the Valero store at W. W. White and Southcross roads.
Investigators with San Antonio police said the park officer tried to question the suspect, but the man pulled a gun.
They said the park officer then fired a shot from his own service weapon, but did not hit the suspect.
Police said the man then ran off.
