Pedestrian, bicyclist both in critical condition after separate car accidents

SAN ANTONIO – A pedestrian and a bicyclist were both left in critical condition after two separate accidents.

San Antonio Police said a 20-year-old man ran out in front of a car in the 6800 block of Babcock around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The driver told officers he didn't see the man before he hit him.

The man who was hit suffered head trauma and other injuries.

He was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

Police said the driver will not face charges.

Another driver could face charges, if officers track the person down.

According to police, a man was riding a bicycle in the 1400 block of Fredericksburg Road when a black truck hit him from behind and kept going northbound.

The man on the bike also suffered numerous injuries.
