Driver wounded when someone fires 10 rounds into car, police say

Victim targeted in neighborhood north of downtown

SAN ANTONIO – A 23-year-old man is being treated for gunshot wounds that he suffered Thursday morning when someone in another car sprayed his vehicle with gunfire.

The victim was hit twice, in the back and hip, and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

San Antonio police said they found about ten bullet holes in his car.

Officers responded to a call about the shooting around 3:30 a.m. and found multiple shell casings in the street near W. Euclid Avenue and Baltimore.

They later got a call about the shooting victim who was looking for help at a gas station nearby at San Pedro Avenue and Cypress Street. 

The victim told officers he had been driving down Baltimore Street when someone in another car pulled up alongside him and began shooting.

The shooter got away.

Police said they did not have a description of the shooter’s car.
