SAN ANTONIO – A woman is dead and a man is in the hospital following a shooting on the city's Southwest Side overnight, San Antonio police said Wednesday.
The shooting was reported around 9:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Myrtle Valley Street, found near Old Pearsall Road and Medina Base Road.

Police said the man inside the home allegedly shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself following a late night argument.
Both the man and the woman were taken to University Hospital. The woman was later pronounced dead.
Neither the name of the husband or the wife has been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
