Man fatally shot during fight in NE Bexar County neighborhood identified

Isiah Roper, 24, was shot, killed early Wednesday morning, ME says

BEXAR COUNTY – Bexar County sheriff’s investigators are looking for two people who were involved in a fight and fatal shooting in a neighborhood near Converse overnight.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's office said that 24-year-old Isiah Roper was shot in the chest and killed early Wednesday morning.

Investigators say they received several calls around 3 a.m. about gunshots in the 6800 block of Twincreek Farm.

When they arrived, they found Roper around the corner from that location in the street.

They say it appears he was trying to run to a relative’s home nearby when he collapsed.

Roper had been involved in a fight with some acquaintances which resulted in the gunfire, investigators said.

Earlier in the evening, the sheriff’s office had received reports of another disturbance at the same location.

A lieutenant told KSAT 12 it was unclear if the two incidents were connected.
