Police: Driver evades shooting, crashes into parked truck

Shell casings found at scene, no one hurt by gunfire

SAN ANTONIO – A driver told San Antonio police that he was trying to get away from someone shooting at him when he rammed his vehicle into a truck overnight.

The incident happened in the 5900 block of Huntsman on the city's far Northwest Side.

Police said just before 11:30 p.m. the driver hit the parked pickup truck. 

The driver was not hurt, police said, but his passenger had to be taken to University Hospital.

The driver told police he did not know the shooter.

Officers said they found shell casings at the scene.

No one was hit by the gunfire.
