SAN ANTONIO – A local restaurant and coffee shop was evacuated Sunday night due to fire on the roof, San Antonio fire officials said.
The fire occurred around 9:30 p.m. at a Jim's Restaurant and Coffee Shop, located in the 1500 block of I-35 North near O'Connor Road.
The fire was put out in short order and was contained to only the roof, firefighters said.
Firefighters said exhaust fans from the kitchen fueled the fire.
Inspectors were also called in to check out the rest of the restaurant before people were let back in, officials said.
No one was hurt by the fire.
