WATCH: UTSA's Rowdy Roadrunner sends message to 'that school up the road'

Are you team Texas State or team UTSA?

Rowdy the Roadrunner, the mascot for the University of Texas at San Antonio, ruffled some feathers on Friday with a video of him taking a dip in the San Marcos river, desecrating a beloved stallion statue on the Texas State University campus and "partying in the end zone" at Texas State's Bobcat Stadium.

The video, which was posted to the UTSA Athletics Facebook page, took the I-35 rivalry between Texas State and UTSA to a new level.

Bobcats were quick to defend their alma mater in the comments.

" At least bobcats have a stadium when the Roadrunners have to use the Alamodome," one Facebook user wrote.

Another said, "Even the roadrunner comes to tx state to enjoy the scenery since he can't get it at UTSA. It's not like he'd want to go for a dip in the riverwalk."

According to data on StartClass, Texas State is more difficult to gain acceptance to than UTSA. But, UTSA offers better financial aid and lower tuition rates.

Texas State's athletic department was not immediately available for comment on Friday.
