HOUSTON – In an epic World Series game filled with dramatic moments, multiple big hits and home runs, it was a ball that made its way back onto the field that has gotten national attention.

Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning  to cut the Astros lead to 12-11.

An Astros fan got a hold of the ball in left field, but it was yanked away from her hands by another fan two seats down.

That fan then angrily threw the ball back onto the field much to the dismay of another fan seated in between the two.

Yahoo Sports caught up with the fans involved in the throw-back incident, which has now gone viral. It turns out they know one another.

The fan who caught the ball is named Sarah Head, and the man who grabbed it from her is her brother-in-law, Kirk Head.

Sarah Head told Yahoo Sports she was not too upset with her brother-in-law when it happened, just upset she didn’t get to throw the ball back herself.

However, she said she knew he planned to throw the ball back onto the field when he took it from her.

At the time of the incident, Kirk became social media’s No. 1 villain, but he told Yahoo Sports they hugged and made up afterward.

It did not hurt that the Astros beat the Dodgers in a thriller, 13-12, to take a 3-2 lead in the World Series. Game Six will be played Tuesday in Los Angeles.
