National Guard troops flooding in as Washington locks down

The number of National Guard troops coming to Washington to assist with security has so far grown to about 21,000, Army Gen. Daniel Hokanson, chief of the National Guard Bureau, told Vice President Mike Pence at a briefing Thursday. National Guard members operate under strict rules of engagement on the use of force. D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee estimated Wednesday that more than 20,000 National Guard members would be active in the city on Inauguration Day.

Investigators used DNA and other evidence to link the man, identified as Anthony Quinn Warner, to the mysterious explosion but said they have not determined a motive. โNashville is considered safe," said Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake. Self-proclaimed Boogaloo Bois member from San Antonio indicted by federal grand jury
SAN ANTONIO โ A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted a 21-year-old self-proclaimed Boogaloo Bois member from San Antonio on a firearms charge. Cameron Emerson Casey Rankin is charged with illegally possessing a firearm after previously being judicially committed to a mental institution, federal officials said. On Oct. 28, 2020, FBI agents arrested Rankin at his residence and recovered a semi-automatic rifle during the execution of a search warrant, a news release said. According to court records, Rankin illegally possessed a firearm with the capability and means to affect violence in furtherance of his beliefs. Rankin posted other photos which included a quote, stating, โDiligently Plotting to Take Over the World in order to Leave You Alone,โ officials said.
ATF seeks 3 suspects who broke into North Side gun range, stole six firearms
SAN ANTONIO โ A $5,000 reward is up for grabs in an effort to find three suspects who broke into a North Side shooting range and stole six firearms from display racks. Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have shared surveillance video with the public (watch in the player above) in hopes of finding the suspects. The break-in happened early Monday morning at the Mission Ridge Range and Academy off Loop 1604 West near Northwest Military Drive. Officials say three men in different-colored hoodies were caught on surveillance footage inside and outside of the business. Anyone with information that could lead to an arrest is asked to call the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives at 1-888-283-8477 or email ATFtips@atf.gov.
Cash reward offered after men stole 20 firearms from San Antonio gun store
SAN ANTONIO The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $5,000 cash reward for information on two suspects who broke into a San Antonio gun store and stole 20 firearms. San Antonio police began investigating the burglary Thursday morning after they were called to Ranger Firearms in the 1300 block of Austin Highway. 2 men sought in theft of guns from NE Side storeThe suspects used an axe to break into the store, according to the ATF, around 3:32 a.m. Anyone having information about this incident should contact ATF at 1-888-ATF-TIPS (888-283-8477).
