DALLAS (AP) — Six people were injured, including four firefighters, after an explosion Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in south Dallas, authorities said. Firefighters were responding to a reported natural gas leak at the two-story apartment complex when the explosion occurred, Dallas Fire-Rescue said in a statement. SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio resident Imad Khalil and his wife, Lina, were in their condo right across the Beirut port where a massive explosion happened on Aug. 4. “All my legs were pretty cut, pretty bad -- my stomach, my arm, my eye,” Khalil said. As the couple recovers, they also want to help the community in Beirut. The couple visits Beirut often. Khalil said he will ship the ambulances from the U.S. to Beirut and wants to be there personally to deliver them.

The Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. has thousands of miles of obsolete pipes that need to be replaced, an effort that would cost nearly $1 billion and take two decades, the newspaper said. “Area inspections will encompass homes and gas equipment in a wide area to ensure there is no additional damage,” the statement said. Last year, a gas explosion ripped the façade off a Maryland office complex in Columbia, affecting more than 20 businesses.

Investigation underway after bar explodes in Houston
HOUSTON – Authorities in Houston are investigating the cause of an explosion at a bar early Friday morning. HOUSTON – At least two people are confirmed dead following an explosion that shook Houston Friday morning. The explosion occurred around 4:20 a.m. Friday at Watson Valve Services in the 4500 block of South Gessner Road near the Westpark Tollway, Houston officials said. Authorities don’t believe the explosion was intentional though a criminal investigation is underway, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said. A chemical called polypropylene is burning due to the explosion, officials said, but it is not a hazard to air quality. Acevedo said after the explosion, officers went house to house to check on residents.

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Fire investigators determined a propane gas leak was the cause of two explosions at the Allo Eatery food truck park in San Marcos, according to officials with the city. Two explosions rocked the food truck park at 801 Chestnut Street around 6 a.m. Thursday morning. ORIGINAL REPORT: Explosions at San Marcos food truck park damage buildings a block awayAround 20 minutes later a second explosion caused by a separate propane bottle occurred. Investigators determined that the second propane bottle had become overheated due to its proximity to the resulting fire from the first explosion. “Fortunately, our firefighters arrived on scene, made an initial attempt to extinguish the fire, realized they were in too close of proximity and pulled back prior to the second explosion," San Marcos Fire chief Les Stephens said Thursday.
