11 things going on around SA this weekend

SAN ANTONIO – The fun continues across San Antonio this weekend with over 10 events scheduled. 

Here's a look at those events.

2018 Bark in the Park: Take your pet to this pet expo at Sunken Garden. It starts at 2 p.m. and will features a pet costume contest, vendors, music and food. Admission tickets are $7.

Margarita Pour Off: This is the 36th year of this event and it will take place at Nelson Wolff Stadium. You must be 21 or older to attend. The event starts at 2 p.m. and presale tickets are $15.

Beer Fest: The Tower of the Americas will feature this year's Beer Fest. This event is for people 21 or older. Advance tickets are $35 and $40 at the door. Over 72 craft beers will be available for sampling. Beer Fest starts at 2 p.m. Saturday. 

Gruene Music and Wine Fest: All weekend long this event will take place in Gruene. Not only will there be live music, but also wine tastings, an artisan market and food trucks. Most of this event is free but some scheduled events will require a ticket.

Boerne Books & Arts Festival: This free event will take place at Main Plaza and The Dienger Tranding Co. in Boerne. There will be authors panels, arts and crafts, book signings and more. This will start at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Nightmare in Southtown: If you are into everything Halloween you just check out this new event. This outdoor Halloween party will feature horror films, music, story-telling and so much more. This will take place Saturday at 6 p.m. at Southtown Commons Art Market.

We Flamenco Fest: This annual festival will celebrate everything flamenco. There is several days of different events across San Antonio, including Saturday's performance at the Carver Cultural Center

2018 Hero Fest: This all-day event on Sunday will consist of live music, food and activities for the entire family. All proceeds from this event go to the San Antonio Firefighters Cancer Fund. This takes place at Mission County Park, starting at 8:30 a.m. 

Schertz Turns 60: The city is celebrating 60 years on Schertz Main Street starting at 4 p.m. Sunday. There will be plenty of fun to be had for the entire family. 

Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg: Celebrate everything German all weekend long in downtown Fredericksburg. Tickets are available at the gate for $8. 

Rampage Game: Saturday is opening night for the hockey team. The Rampage will take on the Grand Rapids Griffins. The puck drops at 7 p.m. and tickets are still available. 

Spurs Preseason: On Friday and Sunday, the Spurs will play in preseason games against Detroit and Houston. Friday's game is at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are still available.
