SAPD: Suspected shoplifter leaves behind cell phone at H-E-B

Robin Recio allegedly dropped phone in struggle with H-E-B store manager

A 25-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly leaving her cell phone at the scene of the crime. Robin Recio has been charged with robbery.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that the manager of H-E-B in the 8200 block of Marbach Road called San Antonio police on Oct. 10, saying that a woman who he caught shoplifting had also assaulted him.

The affidavit stated the manager told police he saw the woman stuffing merchandise in her blouse and purse, then tried to stop her as she walked out without paying for the items.

The woman then punched him in the stomach, causing bruising, before fleeing in a car, the affidavit stated.

During the struggle, the woman apparently dropped her cell phone, the affidavit stated. Police were able to use information on the phone to tie it to Recio, the affidavit stated.
