Manager accused of stealing $184k from hotel

Brittany Boyd, 30, charged with theft

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Brittany Boyd, 30, has been arrested on a charge of theft for allegedly crafting a scheme that allowed her to steal more than $184,000 from the hotel where she worked.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that Boyd was the general manager of Hampton Inn, located in the 14600 block of I-35 in Live Oak.

The affidavit stated that a member of "upper management" notified Live Oak  police of the theft in August, although they believe Boyd had been taking the money during a three year period.

Investigators said they found that Boyd had developed a scheme in which she would pretend to issue refunds to customers, but, instead, would credit the money to her own debit and credit cards.

Between July 2012 and April 2015, they believe she stole more than $184,000, the affidavit stated.

Boyd was booked into the Bexar County jail Thursday.
