VIRAL VIDEO: 14-year-old sets Rubik's cube record

Lucas Etter solves puzzle in less than 5 seconds

CLARKSVILLE, Md. – A 14-year-old from Maryland set a world record Saturday when he solved a Rubik's cube in less than five seconds.

Lucas Etter was competing in the River Hill Fall Competition in Clarksville, Maryand when he completed the task in just 4.9 seconds, breaking a record that had been set that very same day.

Lucas already previously held a world record in a different Rubik's cube category.

The World Cube Association confirmed the time and is now in the process of verifying the record.
