SAN ANTONIO – A woman was hit and killed by a VIA bus downtown overnight, San Antonio police said Thursday.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the corner of Soledad Street and West Commerce.
San Antonio police said the 72-year-old woman was attempting to catch the bus when she slipped off the curb and was hit.
The woman was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center where she died.
The woman's name has yet to be released.
