1 Killed, 3 injured in South Side crash

Injured persons include 6-year-old boy

SAN ANTONIO – One person was killed and three others were sent to the hospital, including a 6-year-old boy, following a car accident Monday morning. 

According to San Antonio police, the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 400 block of South West Military Drive. 

Police said a woman driving a white vehicle ran a red light as the driver of a gray car was reversing his vehicle out of a parking lot and into the intersection. 

The two cars collided in a T-bone formation, killing the man driving the grey car, police said. The passenger in the grey car was taken to the San Antonio Medical Center in critical condition. 

The woman driving the white car had a 6-year-old passenger. Both of them were taken to University Hospital.

Police are investigating whether the woman was under the influence of alcohol.
