Firefighters respond to fire at Northwest Side business

Fire was reported just after 1 a.m. at Alamo Cleaning Services

SAN ANTONIO – Firefighters responded to a call of smoke and fire at a Northwest Side area business overnight, fire officials said Wednesday.

The fire was reported just after 1 a.m. at Alamo Cleaning Services, found in the 13300 block of Western Oak, located in Helotes.

Firefighters said when they arrived there was heavy smoke and fire and that it took them nearly 40 minutes to put out the flames.

At one point, 11 units worked at the scene.

Arson investigators have been called to work. The cause of the fire and a damage estimate are not currently known.
