Shooting in retaliation for argument that happened Tuesday

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a man who’s accused of killing a mother of three in an early morning shooting Wednesday.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Rigsby Avenue.

Authorities believe the shooting was in retaliation for an argument that happened Tuesday evening.

Allen was a mother of three and her children were inside the apartment during the shooting, but they were not hurt.

“The shots rang out multiple times … then they stopped. Then, pow, pow, pow. It just kept going,” said Blair Fowler, Allen’s friend and neighbor.

Fowler said Allen had celebrated her 35th birthday on Tuesday.

“I do know that one request that she had was she wanted to dance with her father again, and her dad is dead,” Fowler said.

Police said around 1 a.m., Allen was shot numerous times through her bedroom window as she slept. One of the rounds struck Allen in the head.

Fowler said the mother of three boys was expecting another child.

This wasn’t the first time Allen’s apartment had been targeted. Neighbors and friends said in February, someone broke in and got away with a television and other valuables.

Allen wasn’t home at the time of the burglary but was home during the shooting which claimed her life.

Farr, also known as Chicago, is now charged with Allen’s murder.

Police said Farr was involved in an altercation Tuesday, where he made threats, and on Wednesday, went to the witness’ home and started shooting.

A jury will likely decide Farr’s fate, but for now, loved ones say they have some closure.
