Kerrville police seeking help to find suspects after series of catalytic converter thefts
KERRVILLE – The Kerrville Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects after a series of recent catalytic converter thefts. One suspect is a male who has hair that appears shaved or very short on the sides, police said. He was wearing a black long-sleeved sweatshirt with a light-colored logo on the front and a small logo on the left sleeve, police said. On the night of the theft, the second suspect was wearing a black hooded coat with a light-colored logo on the back, police said. The second suspect was also wearing what looked like black sweatpants bunched up at the ankle and black and white athletic shoes, according to police.
Death of toddler injured in Kerrville ruled homicide
KERRVILLE, Texas The death of a 2-year-old boy who was injured in Kerrville and taken to a San Antonio hospital last week has been ruled a homicide, an official with the Bexar County Medical Examiners Office confirmed Friday. Gideon Barideaux, who passed away Aug. 9, died from a subdural hemorrhage, an official confirmed to KSAT 12 News. Barideaux was injured in Kerrville while his mother visited her boyfriend, a source familiar with the criminal investigation confirmed. San Antonio police officials on Friday referred all questions about the case to the Kerrville Police Department, which so far has not responded to inquiries from KSAT about its investigation. A subdural hemorrhage, or brain bleed, typically occurs after a person suffers a significant head injury.
Kerrville man’s body found by rescue team after apparent drowning, police say
KERRVILLE – A 34-year-old man’s body was found after an apparent drowning after witnesses reported suspicious activity in Kerrville, police said. The Kerrville Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Town Creek Road on Wednesday. “Officers located a nearby vehicle and were unable to locate an individual associated with the property or vehicle,” Kerrville police said in a news release. Kerrville police, along with the Kerrville Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team, searched extensively for Bode, officials said. “On the morning of June 11, 2020, the search of the Town Creek area resumed.”Police said Bode's body was discovered by dive team personnel.
Kerrville man facing murder charge after victim dies in San Antonio nursing facility
After a man died at a San Antonio nursing care facility in April, a Kerrville man who faced aggravated assault charges is now charged with murder, according to the Kerrville Police Department. Alexander Scott Haley, 35, was indicted on murder charges Monday by a Kerr County grand jury shortly after Louis Earl Vaughn died. Man assaulted relative and threatened her children while ‘looking for pills’ at Converse home, affidavit says“Vaughn was the victim of an assault that occurred on July 10, 2019, near the boardwalk area west of the Schreiner One Center," police said in a news release. “Vaughn had remained unconscious since the assault in which he suffered severe injuries to his head.”Haley has remained in custody since the date of his initial arrest and will now be held on a $250,000.00 bond, according to the news release.
Kerrville police ask for help to identify deceased male found in Guadalupe River
Kerrville, TEXAS – The Kerrville Police Department is reaching out to the public in hopes of figuring out the identity of a body found in the Guadalupe River on Friday evening. A press release states the body was found adjacent to the 2700 block of Memorial Highway/SH 27 at about 6:40 p.m.A deceased male was found floating in the river and Kerrville Fire Department recovered the body. The man is described as a white or Hispanic male, about 20 to 30 years of age. He is also described as being between five feet six inches and five feet eight inches tall and weighing about 180 to 210 pounds. He was found wearing a sleeveless white undershirt and black athletic shorts with a red border and yellow trim and green plaid boxer shorts.
