Bobby Dove charged with theft of $6,000 in construction tools

Bexar County Sheriff's Office: Bobby Dove has history of burglary, theft

SAN ANTONIO – Southeast Bexar County resident Bobby Dove, 30, is facing a theft charge after more than $6,300 worth of stolen construction tools were found in his home, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Bexar County sheriff's detectives had gone to Dove's home on Nov. 14 to serve an arrest warrant in a separate case when they made the discovery, the affidavit stated.

The tools were among items stolen during the Nov. 1 burglary of a building in Adkins, the affidavit stated.

The owner told investigators that the missing tools were valued at more than $6.300, and all had serial numbers and special markings that would allow him to quickly identify them.

The affidavit stated that detectives took pictures of the tools they recovered from Dove's home and showed them to the owner.

The affidavit stated that he then identified six of them as belonging to him. Dove was arrested on the theft charge Sunday.
