Tanker wreck spills oil on Interstate 35, Loop 410 access road

SAN ANTONIO – The morning commute was slowed early Monday after an 18-wheeler tanker accident on the access road to Loop 410 West near Interstate 35.

San Antonio police said the driver of the tanker attempted to turn to get onto 410 and crashed into a concrete column around 2:30 a.m.

The driver became stuck and the tanker began to spill oil on the road. The ramps leading from I-35 North and South to Loop 410 West were closed while officials cleaned the mess. No other cars were involved and no injuries were reported.
