Man stabbed during gas station attack

Victim drove to fire station; transported by EMS to hospital

SAN ANTONIO – A man drove himself to a fire station following an overnight stabbing, San Antonio police said Friday.

The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Culebra Road near North Zarzamora Street on the city's Northwest Side.

The 28-year-old victim told police he was attacked at a car wash by up to four men. Police said he was stabbed in the chest during the assault.

The victim was taken by EMS to University Hospital from the fire station in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
