SAN ANTONIO – Children playing with fireworks are suspected of causing a fire that burned two cars, a garage and some brush Sunday afternoon.
The fire occurred near Sierra and South Flores streets on San Antonio’s South Side.
The person who lives at the home with a detached garage said she was along the shore of the San Antonio River when someone called her and said her house was on fire.
When she got to her home, she said her detached garage and everything in it, including her clothes and car, were on fire.
A truck parked nearby was also damaged.
Fire officials are estimating the fire caused about $15,000 in damage to the garage.
