Man pronounced dead when police arrived

SAN ANTONIO – UPDATE: The medical examiner's office identified the victim as 29-year-old Jaen Carlo Pecina-Bueno.

San Antonio police are investigating a deadly shooting on the city's West Side. 

According to police, they found a man shot multiple times in the 300 block of Cortez Avenue. He was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical services personnel. 

Police said the man was standing outside around 9:30 Friday night when the shooter or shooters approached him. 

Neighbors told police after the fatal shots were fired they saw a dark-colored SUV leaving the scene.
