21-year-old woman indicted for intoxication manslaughter after head-on crash that killed driver in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO โ A Bexar County Grand Jury has indicted a woman who San Antonio police say drove her Mercedes Benz sedan head-on into an SUV, killing the driver, in May. Mariana Campos-Jimenez, now 21 years old, has been formally charged with intoxication manslaughter, the District Attorneyโs office announced on Friday. The first count of the indictment states that the woman drove while she was intoxicated, causing the death of Gabriel Gallegos, 44, according to the DAโs office. The second count states that she drove the wrong way and failed to avoid hitting Gallegosโs SUV. The DAโs office said the case is pending in the 175th District Court.

Several high-profile criminal cases set to be tried in San Antonio in early 2020During his campaign, Gonzales promised that addressing family violence cases would be among his priorities.
DA rejects perjury charges against Pct. 2 deputy constable
SAN ANTONIO โ The Bexar County District Attorneyโs office on Wednesday announced it will not prosecute the aggravated perjury case against a Bexar County Precinct 2 deputy constable. Online court records show that Moreno was released from jail and that the District Attorney's Office rejected the charge. Christian Henricksen, the chief of litigation for the District Attorney's Office, said that based on the information in the warrant, prosecutors did not feel comfortable moving forward. "The District Attorneyโs Office will reconsider prosecution if sufficient evidence is presented at a later date." According to KSAT records, Moreno and Barrientes-Vela have been involved in a series of tumultuous events within the past two years.
