Storms drop hail north of Boerne, cause Cibolo Creek to rise

Thunderstorm dropped 2-3 inches of rain overnight

BOERNE, Texas – A storm overnight dropped lots of rain and hail in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday just north of Boerne.

Your Weather Authority meteorologist Adam Caskey said radar estimates show between 2-3 inches of rain fell.

Video from a viewer showed hail falling around 4 a.m., the area was under a severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning for a part of the morning.

The runoff from the storms caused several roads to close and caused Cibolo Creek to rise a couple of feet.

The creek level has since started to fall.

Storms will continue Tuesday across South Texas.
