NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico – The main highway from Nuevo Laredo to Monterrey, Mexico, is closed Tuesday at La Gloria due to flooding.

Sources tell KSAT 12 News that about 9 feet of water stranded 12,000 tractor-trailers and other vehicles in both directions at Kilometer 163, which is about 100 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Mexican customs facility at Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, is closed, sources said.
The highway will remain closed until flood waters recede, sources said.
