Police said the man was waiting at the bus stop when he said an SUV pulled up by him. He told officers the passenger in the vehicle tried to rob him and then shot him once in the upper body.

The victim gave officers vague details before he became unconscious. Officers hope he can tell them more once he recovers.

“There may be something that develops, that the victim did know the suspects, but again the most critical information that we can get right now is from the victim, so we're hoping he pulls through,” said Officer Doug Greene, with the San Antonio Police Department.

The victim was taken to SAMMC for treatment. No arrests have been made yet, but police are still looking for suspects.
