โRain Rockโ counted on to help keep NIOSA dry for 50+ years
There are many Fiesta traditions, from swapping medals to staking a claim on a spot to see the Battle of Flowers Parade, but using the Rain Rock to keep a Night in Old San Antonio dry might be the most eyebrow-raising to people who donโt know the reason why.
Fall festival at La Villita to take place of NIOSA with limited-ticket event
SAN ANTONIO โ This year will deliver a pumpkin-spiced, scaled-back version of NIOSA in November. The Conservation Society of San Antonio announced it will hold a โFall Heritage Festivalโ in La Villita that will have โcomparisonsโ to NIOSA โ just with a 1,000-attendance limit and admission of $125 per person. While the fall festival will be larger this year, Zaiontz said it โis nothing new for The Society.โ This will be COSAโs 10th fall festival, she said. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the San Antonio Food Bank. Fiesta San Antonio was canceled entirely due to the coronavirus pandemic in July.
