2 arrested in connection with shooting death of man at San Antonio motel
Douglas Skaggs and Haley Gibbens were arrested in connection with the shooting death of Tito Roman on March 17 in the 4900 block of NW Loop 410. SAN ANTONIO โ A 55-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the March 17 shooting death of a 39-year-old man. According to the San Antonio Police Department, Douglas Skaggs and Haley Gibbens were arrested Friday in Austin by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Austin Division. They are expected to be extradited to San Antonio to face charges. Skaggs and Gibbens are accused of entering a room around 2:41 a.m. at the Home Suites motel in the 4900 block of NW Loop 410, where they got into an argument with Tito Roman.

Highway closures have been reported along Loop 410 from US 90 to Evers and near the San Antonio Airport. Crews have close upper levels of I-35 and I-10 in downtown San Antonio due to icy conditions. SAPD: Woman found injured, covered in blood after man tried to rape her
SAN ANTONIO โ A woman was able to flag down officers after she escaped an attack that left her injured and covered with blood, according to San Antonio police. Police officers found him at a nearby restaurant after they searched the area of Culebra Road and Loop 410. An arrest affidavit states the 35-year-old woman was sitting on a curb when a man approached her and asked for a cigarette. The woman was able to escape and ran to police officers nearby. The affidavit states that an officer walked into a nearby restaurant and found a man, later identified as Culpepper, sitting at a booth.
Northwest Side restaurant told to remove dead pests, receives low health score
SAN ANTONIO โ A restaurant near Wonderland of the Americas Mall had to be instructed to remove dead pests from its premises this month during a routine health inspection. Spice Fine Indian Cuisine, located in the 3700 block of NW Loop 410, received a score of 76 while also racking up violations that included having fly sticky traps in its kitchen and using food containers that were damaged. Major accident reported on EB Loop 410 at Ingram Rd
SAN ANTONIO A major accident involving an 18-wheeler has been reported on eastbound NW Loop 410 at Ingram Road early Thursday morning. The San Antonio Police Department advises motorists to use an alternate route as eastbound NW Loop 410 is presently shut down at Ingram Rd road. Woman killed in NYE crash identified
SAN ANTONIO โ A woman killed in crash on the far Northwest Side on New Year's Eve was identified Thursday as Jesamie Friend, 20. San Antonio police said Friend was speeding along NW Loop 410 near Highway 151 around 5 a.m. Tuesday when she lost control of her vehicle, which flipped and hit a median. Man, 18, arrested in New Yearโs Day crash that left man, teen dead on West SideFriend was ejected from the vehicle, police said. She died at the scene.
