SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are working to track down the driver responsible for hitting three people overnight.
The hit and run accident occurred around 12:45 a.m. in the 3800 block of Roosevelt Avenue, found on the city's South Side.
Police said three people were walking -- two on a road and a third on a grassy area next to the road -- when a driver hit all three from behind.
Police said the driver following the accident quickly drove away from the scene.
The three victims, two men and a woman, were taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for their injuries. Two of them have multiple broken bones and are in critical condition.
The driver did leave parts of his car at the scene, police said.
So far no arrests have been made in the case.
The investigation is ongoing.
