Yum! San Antonio restaurant's street tacos becoming a favorite in the city

Flavor Favs: Taquitos West Avenue

SAN ANTONIOTaquitos West Avenue is the name of the restaurant and it is a hot spot for Mexican-style street tacos.

The menu only consists of five type of tacos: cabeza, tripas, bistek, al pastor and suadero. The more popular options are the al pastor and bistek.

For the past 12 years the indoor/outdoor restaurant has been a favorite for many. The location reminds one of a street taco vendor in Mexico and as soon as you arrive you can smell the meat cooking.

"We strive to give our customers the best," manager Octavio Cossyleon said.

Taquitos West Avenue is at 2818 West Ave. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
